Protect yourself with an extra layer of security by creating a PIN, protecting others from accessing your account through Alexa.

Link your account

It's up to you to link your GEICO account with your Alexa device! This is something you set up, making sure only you have access to your policy and billing information.

Whenever you make a payment, we take security seriously. We only use payment methods you've already provided to GEICO, and we do not share them with Amazon, except your confirmation to Alexa to verify the last four digits of a payment account.

  • What is the GEICO Alexa skill?

    The GEICO "skill" is the word we use for the voice-based interface. A skill is what lets you use your Alexa Echo device to interact with GEICO, by using your voice instead of your phone or computer.

  • What can I do with the skill?

    Right now you can perform basic account functions with the Alexa skill, such as the following:

    1. Pay your bill
    2. Check your balance
    3. Check your premium
    4. Find the next date your payment is due
    5. Order ID cards by email or by U.S. mail
    6. Get vehicle help

  • How do I enable the skill?

    To start using GEICO's skill, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Alexa app and search the menu for "Skills." Once you can see the Skills page, search for "GEICO"
    2. Select the GEICO skill and select "ENABLE"
    3. Log in to your GEICO account with your username and password
    4. Set your 4-digit PIN (optional)

    Remember you can only link one GEICO account at a time to the skill for every Amazon account.

  • I've enabled the skill, but how do I link my account?

    If you are having trouble enabling the GEICO skill, please double check to make sure you are using the correct GEICO username and password to link your account.

  • What is my 4-digit PIN and how can I change it?

    Your 4-digit PIN, which is separate from your GEICO login information, is a way to further protect your account through Alexa. Setting a PIN reduces the risk that other people could access your account through the skill. Adding this extra layer of security helps to protect your information from intruders, and even from someone accidentally changing something on your account!

    If you would like to change your PIN, you can do so by logging into the Alexa app and disabling the GEICO skill. When you re-enable the skill you will be able to set a new PIN.

  • How do I use the GEICO skill once I've enabled it?

    To start using the GEICO skill, wake up your Alexa-enabled device by saying "Alexa, open GEICO." Once you open the GEICO skill, you can use any of the voice commands listed below to manage your GEICO policy. Remember to check back often for more ways you can interact using your voice!

    • Say "Send my ID cards" to request your ID cards by email or mail.
    • Ask "What’s my balance?" to check your account balance.
    • Ask "When is my next payment due?" to get your next payment date.
    • Say "Pay my bill" to make a payment on your policy.
    • Say "I need help with my vehicle" to request vehicle help at your home address.
